What Can We Work On?

Each month, we’ll focus on 2–3 key skills that help your high-drive dog learn to channel their energy, focus, and instincts in a healthy, productive way.

Some common training priorities for working breeds include:

  • Impulse control & focus  – teaching your dog to think before reacting, even in high-arousal situations.

  • Calmness on cue on – helping your dog learn to settle and relax after activity.

  • Neutrality around movement  – reducing over-arousal, barking, or herding behaviours.

  • Confidence & environmental stability  – supporting sound responses to new sights, surfaces, or noises.

Training is fully customized to your dog’s drive level, temperament, and breed traits, ensuring a balance between control, confidence, and satisfaction.
